Rapid City woman has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. The Department of Justice says 60‑year‑old Ruth Kazmer received the sentence Monday after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.
According to prosecutors, Kazmer financed multiple meth shipments that were later sold in Rapid City and nearby communities. At the time of the federal offense, she was already on probation for a prior state conviction involving meth distribution.
