Deadwood gaming was up 10 percent in November compared to the same month last year, according to the Deadwood Gaming Association.
That boost helped push overall gaming revenue up 2.7 percent for 2025.
Deadwood Gaming Association Director George Milos noted that the 2.7 percent increase over strong 2024 numbers is a big positive.
Milos attributed the November gains to favorable weekend weather, major conventions and events, and five shows hosted at Deadwood Mountain Grand.
Slot machines delivered the largest share of revenue with a 10.59 percent increase. Table games posted a slight uptick, while sports wagering continued its strong performance with an 18.93 percent jump.
November’s taxable gross revenue totaled $10,644,197. The state collected $957,977 in gaming taxes, including $106,441.97 for the state general fund, $340,614.31 for South Dakota Tourism, and $85,153.58 for Lawrence County.
