Rapid City is launching local efforts for America 250, the nationwide celebration of the United States’ 250th birthday in 2026. Visit Rapid City, in partnership with the City of Rapid City, is coordinating community involvement and encouraging residents, businesses, and organizations to take part.
The initiative aims to highlight Rapid City’s patriotic spirit through locally hosted events, special promotions, and citywide activities. Community members can submit America 250–themed events and deals, volunteer on planning committees, or partner as sponsors.
To support participation, Visit Rapid City has released an America 250 toolkit featuring logos, branding materials, photos, and other resources for promoting themed events.
All approved events and specials will be featured on Visit Rapid City’s website and app as the community prepares to mark the nation’s milestone anniversary.
