The University of South Dakota activated its emergency protocols Saturday after a bomb threat was phoned in to the Clay Area Emergency Services Communication Center.
USD coordinated with Vermillion Police along with state and federal law enforcement. Responders quickly determined the threat was not credible and consistent with a “swatting” incident. Officials say there was no danger to campus, students, staff, or visitors.
The USD Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact them at 605‑658‑6199.
