Construction on Interstate 90 near Exit 101 will enter its next phase on Monday, March 2, as crews begin demolishing and replacing the eastbound bridge over Bull Creek. The westbound bridge was replaced last fall.
Traffic will be shifted into a two‑way configuration in the westbound lanes for about three miles. The speed limit through the work zone will drop from 80 to 65 mph at all times, and to 45 mph when workers are present.
Drivers should expect slowing traffic and be alert for crews and equipment along the roadway.
The $15.1 million project is being handled by Heavy Constructors Inc. of Rapid City and is scheduled for completion on Aug. 5, 2026.
