A street race on Omaha Street was the cause of a four‑vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.
Police were called around 1:10 p.m. after a BMW and a Dodge were seen racing eastbound. Investigators say the BMW crashed into vehicles stopped at a red light, damaging three cars. The Dodge was not involved in the collision.
The driver and passenger in the BMW, along with a passenger from one of the struck vehicles, were transported to the hospital.
Police believe the BMW’s driver was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
