Governor Larry Rhoden on Tuesday signed three bills aimed at strengthening facilities at South Dakota’s public universities.
The three measures he signed include:
- SB 117, which funds the design and construction of a new soccer venue at South Dakota State University .
- HB 1118, which provides funding to design and build an addition to SDSU’s existing swine wean‑to‑finish barn.
- HB 1137, which appropriates money for a new athletic facility at the University of South Dakota.
Rhoden signed the bills during a ceremony with representatives from both USD and SDSU.
With Tuesday’s actions, the governor has signed 54 bills and issued one veto so far this legislative session.
