An Eagle Butte man has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for abusive sexual contact.
Federal prosecutors say 22‑year‑old Jared Paul Dorian admitted to engaging in sexual contact with a 12‑year‑old girl in April 2024 in Eagle Butte, on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation.
Dorian pleaded guilty on November 20 and was sentenced Monday, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
