The Advisory Task Force Committee on Open Meetings Laws will meet Tuesday, April 7, in Pierre.
The task force was created by Attorney General Marty Jackley to review and consider possible changes to South Dakota’s open meetings laws. It is separate from the South Dakota Open Meetings Commission, which was established in 2004 and is composed of five state’s attorneys who review and address alleged violations of the laws.
The advisory task force includes 15 members representing the news media, private organizations, and local government.
Tuesday’s meeting will begin at 10 a.m. CST and will be held both in person and virtually through Microsoft Teams and SD.net. The in‑person meeting will take place at the George S. Mickelson Criminal Justice Training Center, in the DCI Conference Room on the second floor.
