Rapid City Police are investigating a late-night shooting incident reported early April 5 that resulted in damage to a nearby home but no injuries.
Officers were dispatched around 1:50 a.m. to the 1100 block of Northeast Drive after receiving reports of gunshots in the area. While canvassing the neighborhood, police were notified by a resident in the 1100 block of Dilger Avenue who discovered a bullet hole through one of the windows of their home.
Officers located and collected several shell casings from the area. No additional property damage or injuries were reported in connection with the gunfire.
The case has been forwarded to the Rapid City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division for further follow-up. Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to contact police.
