Rapid City Area Schools has been awarded a $223,830 Workforce Education Grant to enhance the Culinary Arts program at Stevens High School.
The grant, provided by the South Dakota Department of Education, will fund renovations to the culinary classroom and the purchase of industry-level equipment. School officials say the improvements will expand hands-on learning opportunities and allow students to earn certifications that better prepare them for college and future careers.
Rapid City Area Schools was one of four districts statewide selected to receive funding through this year’s Workforce Education Grant program.
