The Wyoming Office of Tourism reports that visitor spending in the Cowboy State reached a record $5 billion in 2025.
The report highlights tourism as one of the state’s fastest-growing industries, with travel-related gross domestic product increasing by an average of 6.1% per year since 2019. Tourism activity generated nearly $292 million in state and local tax revenue last year, helping reduce the tax burden for residents.
Tourism also played a major role in employment, supporting approximately 34,000 jobs statewide and contributing $1.47 billion in earnings. Officials estimate about 8.8 million overnight visitors traveled to Wyoming in 2025, with nearly half staying in hotels or short-term rental properties.
