Emergency crews responded to a single‑aircraft incident at the airport shortly after 2 p.m., yesterday.
Responders located the aircraft in a nearby field. No injuries or fire was reported.
Rapid City Fire Department Public Information Officer Tessa Jaeger said multiple agencies are involved in aircraft incidents, including airport officials, and crews are currently assessing the situation noting additional information may be released later.
Crews remained on scene to secure the area and complete their assessment.
