A Box Elder code enforcement officer has received statewide recognition for his work serving the community.
The City of Box Elder announced that Code Enforcement Officer Mark Larson was recently named Code Enforcement Officer of the Year by the South Dakota Association of Code Enforcement. The award was presented last week.
According to the city, Larson was recognized for his communication, investigative and problem-solving skills in addressing a wide range of code enforcement issues.
City officials thanked Larson for his dedication, noting his efforts help keep Box Elder a desirable place to live and work.
