A stretch of Interstate 90 near Wasta reopened after being shut down Tuesday morning following a fiery crash.
Around 7:30 a.m., Pennington County Sheriff’s Office reported the interstate was closed in both directions after a fire-related crash near the Cheyenne River Bridge. The South Dakota Highway Patrol said the accident blocked westbound lanes and prompted officials to divert traffic off the interstate at mile marker 101.
The closure affected about four miles of roadway, from roughly four miles east of Wasta to Exit 98 at Wasta.
Authorities have not released information on what caused the crash, or whether there were injuries.
