Facilities at Mary Hall Park are back open following significant vandalism earlier this month that forced temporary closures.
Park restrooms were shut down after extensive damage was discovered May 7, including destroyed toilets and sinks and debris scattered throughout the building. Officials described the incident as one of the most serious cases of vandalism in the city’s park system.
City crews have since completed repairs, and the restrooms have reopened to the public, according to recent updates.
Police identified three juveniles in connection with the incident.
City officials say the park continues to be monitored daily and are urging residents to report suspicious activity as efforts continue to maintain facilities across Rapid City’s park system.
