Crews with the Rapid City Streets Division will begin curb and ADA upgrades on a portion of West Chicago Street starting today, prompting temporary lane closures.
The inside westbound lane between 39th Street and 40th Street will be closed during construction. Work is scheduled to take place today through Thursday, June 15–18, and will resume the following week from June 22–26.
City officials say traffic control measures will be in place throughout the project to guide motorists safely through the area.
Drivers are urged to use extra caution and expect minor delays while traveling through the construction zone.
