A busy week of summer road construction is expected to cause delays across Rapid City and western South Dakota.
Multiple projects began Monday, including lane closures on Haines Avenue for water line repairs and periodic closures on West Chicago Street for curb and ADA upgrades. A major project at Old Folsom Road and Highway 79 will bring delays through September, while work on West Minnesota Street continues into July.
Smith Avenue will close in sections through mid-August, and East Anamosa Street will be reduced to one lane starting midweek.
Outside the city, drivers on Highway 75 and Highway 385 should also expect delays due to ongoing road work.
