SHERIDAN LAKE ROAD RECONSTRUCTION
PROJECT UPDATE
By Avid4 Engineering
Effective Monday, June 23, 2025, traffic will be switched to the new pavement on the east side of Sheridan Lake Road, from just north of the south Summerset Drive intersection through the north end of the project. The easternmost lane on Sheridan Lake Road will remain closed to allow for signal work and completion of the concrete boulevard at the Corral Drive intersection. This switch will allow work to begin on the west leg of the Corral Drive intersection. Traffic will be in two lanes on the south side of Corral Drive and both eastbound turning movements will take place from one lane.
The temporary pedestrian crossing at Summerset south and Chateaux Ridge will be re-installed. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the west side of Sheridan Lake Road from Catron to Chateaux Ridge and on the east side of Sheridan Lake Road from Summerset south to Corral Drive. The crosswalk of Sheridan Lake Road will be maintained on the north side off Corral Drive and the temporary pedestrian path will be utilized west to Severson Street.
Traffic at the Catron/Wildwood intersection remains in the same two-lane configuration. Eastbound through traffic from Wildwood Drive shifts slightly to the north through the intersection. Westbound traffic also shifts slightly through the intersection. Water main installation at Catron will be complete this week, with storm sewer and roadway grading to follow.
Miscellaneous sidewalk and colored concrete placement, joint sawing and sealing continues throughout the project. Asphalt is expected to be placed at Summerset north early next week.
Motorists are asked to be alert for flaggers, sudden changes in traffic, and construction equipment entering and exiting the work zone. THE SPEED LIMIT HAS BEEN REDUCED TO 25 MPH on Sheridan Lake Road. Please allow for extra time to travel through the work zones.
