Portions of Fifth Street and Omaha Street will see lane closures beginning this morning as crews prepare Memorial Park for upcoming large events.
Hilt Engineering crews will close the southbound outside lane of Fifth Street between North Street and Omaha Street, along with the westbound outside lane of Omaha Street from Fifth Street to Mount Rushmore Road. The closures will allow for placement of concrete barricades along the park boundary to manage anticipated crowds.
Work is expected to be completed by Friday afternoon.
Memorial Park is set to host several major events in the coming weeks, including June Fest, the Real America Birthday Bash, and Hills Alive in mid-July.
