Pennington County officials say restoration efforts are continuing following a recent cybersecurity incident, with some county services still operating under limited capacity.
The county is working with state and federal partners to investigate the incident and restore systems while prioritizing data security.
The Treasurer’s Office remains unable to process vehicle registrations or accept payments, though staff are available to answer questions. Online vehicle registration renewals remain available through the state’s website and self-service kiosks.
Early voting continues through the Auditor’s Office, but lien payments cannot currently be processed. The Register of Deeds is accepting real estate recordings, although they cannot yet be fully processed.
Planning and Zoning staff have resumed manual processing of building permits. The Planning and Zoning Commission will meet July 13 to elect officers, with other agenda items postponed until July 27.
County Commission meetings will continue as scheduled, though livestreaming may not be available. Officials say recordings will be posted when systems allow.
