A 38-year-old Rapid City man was arrested Saturday after allegedly resisting officers and attempting to provide a false identity during a police investigation.
Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Space Avenue at approximately 2:10 p.m. following a report of a man attempting to force his way into an apartment building. Officers contacted the suspect, identified as Jeremy Hollen of Rapid City, and attempted to detain him.
According to police, Hollen pulled away and resisted officers during the encounter. At one point, he allegedly attempted to kick an officer and later tried to provide a false name to law enforcement.
Hollen was ultimately taken into custody and arrested on charges of obstruction, simple assault on law enforcement, impersonation to deceive law enforcement, and an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Pennington County Jail.
