A 22-year-old Parmelee man has been sentenced to time served and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to assaulting a federal officer on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation.
According to federal prosecutors, Jonathan Sierra was involved in an incident in July 2025 during which he resisted arrest and kicked two officers. Sierra was indicted in January 2026 and later entered a guilty plea in April.
The case was investigated by Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Kimberly Zachrison.
Following sentencing, Sierra was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
