Two teenagers were killed Thursday night in a single‑vehicle crash just north of Rapid City.
The names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of family members.
According to preliminary information, the driver of a 2015 Lexus ES was traveling north on North Haines Avenue near Peterson Road when the vehicle left the roadway to the left, entered the ditch, overturned, and rolled.
Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle and died from their injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the investigation. All details released at this stage are preliminary.
