Gov. Larry Rhoden announced a $200,000 Future Fund grant for the Keep Farmers Farming program to expand estate and transition planning services for South Dakota producers.
The Noem‑Rhoden Administration partnered earlier this year with the South Dakota Ag Foundation and First Dakota National Bank to broaden the program, increasing participation from 54 to 125 families. The Ag Foundation previously received a separate $200,000 grant to help administer and grow the effort.
“The next decade is critical as farms and ranches transition wealth and knowledge to the next generation,” according to Kyle Holt, CEO of the South Dakota Ag Foundation.
Founded in 2015, the Foundation is an industry‑led nonprofit focused on strengthening agriculture for future generations.
