A heavy law enforcement presence gathered Sunday night in the 700 block of E. Anamosa Street after officers responded to a reported shooting.
According to police, officers were dispatched around 9:22pm following a report that a person had been injured by gunfire. Upon arrival, they located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The individual was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
As investigators began interviewing witnesses, they learned that the suspected shooter had entered a nearby apartment shortly after the incident. Based on that information, authorities requested assistance from the Rapid City/Pennington County Special Response Team conducted the search warrant on the apartment without incident. The investigation into the shooting yielded the following arrests:
30-year-old Francisco Bordier – Parole Hold
37-year-old Micheal High Elk – Felony Arrest Warrant (Escape by Prisoner 2nd Degree)
37-year-old Torell Flute – Parole Hold, Obstruction, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of a Firearm with Altered Serial Number.
