After attempts to kill the bill, the committee sent it to the floor without recommendation

Upon arrival a vote was held to schedule the bill for Senate consideration

The SD Sherrif’s Association, SD Police Chiefs Association, The Meade County Sherrif’s Department and Protecting South Dakota Kids all testified in support of the bill.
