Law enforcement officers intensified their search for fugitive Jeremy Taylor late Monday night after new information suggested he may have been spotted near Klondike Road off South Highway 16. The lead prompted a large response from the Pennington County/Rapid City Special Response Team and multiple assisting agencies.
According to officials, the search began the evening of February 2 and continued into the early morning hours of February 3. Officers searched an unoccupied residence in the area along with the surrounding wooded terrain, but Taylor was not located. The Special Response Team also conducted door‑to‑door contacts with nearby residents as part of the expanded operation.
Agencies involved in the search included the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Rapid City Police Department, South Dakota Highway Patrol, U.S. Marshals, and the Pennington County Emergency Services Communications Center.
Authorities say Taylor has made contact with multiple individuals over the past several days, and they continue to encourage the public to report any sightings or suspicious activity.
Anyone with information on Taylor’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
