The subject of a multi-agency manhunt made his first court appearance.
A 37‑year‑old Jeremy Taylor appeared Thursday morning in Pennington County Court alongside his attorney, who requested that he be released with an ankle monitor. The judge denied that request.
Taylor was sought on warrants out of Ohio and Pennington County after being taken into custody around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday in an outbuilding near a residence in Fall River County. Officers said he was arrested without incident after several days of intensive searching.
Taylor had been wanted in Ohio on a warrant for gross sexual contact, as well as on Pennington County warrants for eluding law enforcement and simple assault on an officer.
Taylor is currently being held at the Pennington County Jail on a $500,000 cash‑only bond.
