Sanford Health is contributing $2 million toward Children’s Home Society’s new Rapid City Campus, an investment aimed at expanding access to trauma‑informed care for children across South Dakota.
The donation will support CHS’s Residential Treatment program, which serves children ages 4–14 who have experienced abuse, trauma, or significant emotional and behavioral challenges. The program provides individualized treatment plans, on‑site education, therapy services, psychiatric care and daily support.
CHS leaders say the funding will strengthen long‑term stability for families in the Black Hills region. Sanford Health officials noted the organization’s long-standing connection to CHS and its commitment to improving access to care for vulnerable children.
Construction is underway on the new campus, which will consolidate all CHS programs and services under one roof to create a more accessible and supportive environment.
