The City of Sturgis has announced the upcoming resignations of City Administrator Aaron Jordan and City Attorney Eric Davis as part of a planned leadership transition.
Mayor Pro Tempore Tony Dargatz thanked both officials for their service, citing their roles in strengthening city operations and improving transparency.
Jordan plans to step down by Aug. 23, saying he wants to spend more time with family and pursue personal goals. City leaders noted the transition had been discussed late last year to allow for planning.
Davis will resign effective May 31, describing his position as a transitional role. He has offered to assist with interim legal services if needed.
City officials say both leaders will help ensure a smooth transition as the council begins searching for their replacements.
