A Mission man has been sentenced in federal court for assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
U.S. District Judge Eric C. Schulte sentenced Jacob Wright, 31, to three years and five months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, after an April 21, 2026 hearing.
Wright pleaded guilty to striking a man with a metal bar during an April 2025 altercation south of Okreek, causing a skull fracture and brain injury that required surgery. The case was prosecuted federally under the Major Crimes Act.
