A Spearfish man was killed early Thursday morning in a single‑vehicle crash involving construction equipment, according to the Spearfish Police Department.
Police say officers were notified of the crash at about 2:06 a.m. on April 30 in a road‑closure area near East Colorado Boulevard and Aurora Avenue. Investigators determined a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek struck construction equipment in the roadway.
The driver and sole occupant, a 48‑year‑old man from Spearfish, died from injuries sustained in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released.
