South Dakota has awarded contracts to three firms to support its Rural Health Transformation initiative, aimed at improving healthcare access statewide.
North Star Solutions of Sioux Falls received a $1.46 million contract to manage the state’s nearly $480 million digital health grant program. Black Hills Special Services Cooperative will oversee chronic disease management efforts, while Pierre-based Business Concepts & Applications secured a $500,000, two-year contract to assist with Medicaid, primary care, and behavioral health projects.
State leaders said the selections will help move the initiative from planning into action and ensure efficient implementation across rural communities.
