Record-breaking temperatures swept across Rapid City and the Black Hills on Monday, setting new daily highs as unseasonably hot weather gripped the region.
The Rapid City airport reported a high of 89 yesterday breaking the previous record of 86 that was set in 1985.
Temperatures in the 90’s and south winds gusting to over 40 mph will pose a risk of higher fire danger.
Temperatures are expected to remain in the 80’s throughout the week and into the weekend.
