The local Habitat for Humanity has received an $87,500 grant from Black Hills Federal Credit Union and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines to support affordable housing efforts in the community.
Habitat officials said the funding will help the nonprofit continue building and repairing homes while assisting families working toward homeownership.
Executive Director Scott Engmann said the organization’s mission is rooted in faith but serves people of all backgrounds.
Habitat for Humanity partners with volunteers, donors and community groups to provide affordable housing opportunities for qualifying families, with the goal of promoting stability and strengthening neighborhoods.
