Police are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery early Friday at a Haines Avenue business.
Officers were dispatched around 3 a.m. on May 29 to 3343 Haines Ave. following a report that a robbery had just occurred, according to police. Witnesses told officers an unidentified man entered the store, pulled an AR-style rifle from his pants and demanded cash and merchandise from the clerk.
The clerk complied, and the suspect fled the store on foot to the north, police said.
Witnesses described the suspect as a Native American man about 6 feet 1 inch tall with black hair. He was wearing a blue sweater over a black shirt, light blue jeans and black shoes, along with large earrings and a blue bandanna covering his face.
No injuries were reported.
