Gov. Larry Rhoden has appointed Neal Nachtigall as commissioner of the Bureau of Information and Technology, effective June 5, as current commissioner Mark Wixon retires.
Rhoden said Nachtigall brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise IT strategy, security and digital transformation in both public and private sectors. Nachtigall most recently served as director of Agency Application Support with the state.
Nachtigall previously held leadership roles with GE Healthcare, Sanford Health and SONIFI Solutions. He holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in computer science and information systems.
