The South Dakota Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting June 18 to discuss a planned reconstruction project at Exit 10 on Interstate 90 in Spearfish.
The meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Hudson Hall, where officials and representatives from Tru-Form Construction will outline construction timelines, traffic changes and project details.
The project will modify the Exit 10 intersection and add traffic signals and lighting. Work is expected to begin June 22, weather permitting.
Transportation officials said a 2024 traffic study identified safety concerns at the interchange, leading to the selection of a Reduced Conflict Intersection design intended to improve traffic flow and reduce severe crashes.
The $1.3 million project is expected to be completed by Nov. 20, 2026.
