Rapid City organizers are continuing to seek volunteers as preparations ramp up for the city’s “Real America Birthday Bash,” a multi-day celebration scheduled for July 1–5 in honor of America 250.
The event is expected to feature a wide range of activities, including a parade, concerts, a drone show, fireworks, a 5K run, children’s attractions, and various events taking place throughout downtown.
To help staff the celebration, organizers are encouraging residents, businesses, churches, and community groups to participate in the America250 Volunteer Challenge. Volunteers will assist with roles such as parade support, guest services, Kids Zone activities, logistics, and crowd management.
Volunteer coordinator Amy Policky said community groups are encouraged to form teams of about 10 people, noting that flexible shifts are available to accommodate different schedules and interests.
Those interested in volunteering can find additional information and sign up through the JustServe Rapid City America250 volunteer page.
