Police are investigating a report of gunfire early this morning after officers found evidence of shots striking a building on the city’s south side.
At approximately 4:20 a.m. on June 18, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Curtis Street following reports of gunshots heard in the area. As police gathered additional information, they expanded their search and located several bullet holes in a building in the 1300 block of Atlas Street.
Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
Officers collected physical evidence from the scene as part of the ongoing investigation. The case has since been forwarded to the Rapid City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division for further follow-up.
