Deadwood artist Scott Jacobs has been commissioned to create the official commemorative painting for America’s 250th anniversary.
The piece, titled “The Moment of Freedom,” will portray the signing of the Declaration of Independence and is set to be unveiled on the Fourth of July. Jacobs, widely known for his Harley-Davidson artwork and American heritage scenes, called the project a powerful and personal opportunity to contribute to the nation’s history.
The selection marks a major milestone in Jacobs’ career, highlighting his long-standing work capturing iconic moments in American culture.
