A Rapid City man has been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy that operated in western South Dakota.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Lucius Muldrow, 40, was sentenced June 15 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance. In addition to the 11-year prison term, Muldrow was ordered to serve four years of supervised release and pay a $100 special assessment.
Federal prosecutors said Muldrow participated in a drug trafficking conspiracy that operated from November 2021 through September 2025 and was responsible for distributing at least 200 grams of methamphetamine. Court records show Muldrow regularly obtained methamphetamine from co-conspirators and sold the drug from his residence and other locations throughout the Rapid City area.
The case was investigated by the Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team (UNET), a multi-agency task force that includes the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Rapid City Police Department, South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, South Dakota Highway Patrol and South Dakota National Guard.
Following his sentencing, Muldrow was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service to begin serving his sentence.
