Community members are invited to honor First Lt. Laurence Radlinger, a Rapid City native who was killed in France during World War II, at a Fallen Heroes Bridge Dedication Ceremony on Aug. 17.
The ceremony will be held at the Minneluzahan Senior Center and is free and open to the public.
Radlinger is being recognized through South Dakota’s Fallen Heroes Bridge program, which honors military service members who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country. To date, the statewide initiative has dedicated 72 bridges in honor of 78 fallen service members.
Organizers encourage residents to attend and help recognize Radlinger’s service and sacrifice.
