Riverfront Broadcasting Acquires Fox Sports Rapid City, Set To Launch Riverfront Sports Network
New sports platform will deliver live/local coverage of area sports
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Riverfront Broadcasting today announced the acquisition of Fox Sports Rapid City. A programming agreement will go into effect August 1, 2026 while awaiting FCC approval, marking a significant expansion of the company’s sports broadcasting portfolio and the launch of the Riverfront Sports Network (RSN).
The newly formed Riverfront Sports Network brings together News Radio KOTA 100.7/1380, KDSJ Radio 103.5/980, and Fox Sports Rapid City 106.7/1150, creating a comprehensive regional sports media platform dedicated to delivering unprecedented coverage of local and regional sporting events.
Through a combination of radio broadcasts, video streaming, digital content, and live event production, RSN will provide fans with more access than ever before to the teams, athletes, and communities that make western South Dakota a vibrant sports region.
The Riverfront Sports Network will deliver extensive SD sports content, including:
- High school athletics across the region
- Live play-by-play broadcasts on radio and video platforms featuring award-winning talent
- Local and regional collegiate sports
- Athlete profiles and feature programming
- The Nate Brown Show, Coaches Shows, and local/regional sports talk programming
Riverfront Broadcasting General Manager Jim Kallas noted: “The primary focus and duty of all Riverfront Broadcasting properties is to provide live, local content for our audiences.
