RAPID CITY, S.D. – South Dakota motorists are paying slightly more at the pump this week, with the statewide average price for regular unleaded gasoline reaching $4.08 per gallon, according to AAA. The state average is just below the current national average of $4.09 per gallon.
AAA data shows South Dakota gas prices have climbed from $3.99 a week ago and $3.88 a month ago. Diesel prices across the state are averaging $5.18 per gallon.
AAA’s metro market data shows Rapid City at $4.30 per gallon, that’s up 15 cents from a week ago and a 30 cent rise over the last month. The price one year ago in Rapid City averaged $3.07 per gallon. The current average for Sioux Falls is $3.95 per gallon.
