RAPID CITY, S.D. – Registration is now open for the 2026 South Dakota Day of Giving, a statewide campaign aimed at supporting nonprofits through donations, volunteerism, and community involvement.
This year’s event will take place December 1st, coinciding with Giving Tuesday. Eligible nonprofits can participate at no cost and will receive fundraising training, planning tools, and access to a statewide prize pool.
Organizers say more than 400 nonprofits participated last year, raising approximately $1.1 million from nearly 7,000 donors. The event also helped organizations recruit volunteers and increase awareness of their missions.
The South Dakota Day of Giving was launched nine years ago by South Dakota Gives, a project of the Rural Philanthropy Institute in Rapid City.
Nonprofits interested in taking part can register through the South Dakota Gives website.
