RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City residents are being reminded that several city services will be impacted by the Labor Day holiday on Monday.
City offices, the Rapid City Landfill, Rapid Transit System, and the Rapid City Public Library will all be closed for the holiday.
Because of the federal holiday, the Rapid City Common Council meeting normally scheduled for Monday has been moved to Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
Trash collection will also be adjusted. Monday’s pickup route will be collected on Tuesday, while Tuesday through Friday routes will remain on their regular schedule. Residents are asked to leave their containers out until they are collected. The City is also returning to weekly recycling collection beginning next week.
RapidRide and Dial-a-Ride transit services will not operate Monday but will resume Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Rapid City Public Library will be closed both Sunday and Labor Day Monday.
City officials encourage residents to plan ahead for the holiday-related schedule changes.
