RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City is looking for residents to fill two vacancies on its Historic Sign Review Committee.
The openings include one position representing the sign industry and one citizen-at-large position. The sign industry appointment will fill a term running through July of 2028, while the citizen-at-large position carries a three-year term.
The Historic Sign Review Committee meets on an as-needed basis to review and approve sign permits located within historic districts and on properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
City officials encourage individuals with experience in historic preservation, architecture, the sign industry, or those who own property or businesses within a historic district to apply.
Interested residents can submit a Citizen Interest Application online through the City of Rapid City website.
The application deadline is Friday, September 18, at 5 p.m.
