RAPID CITY, S.D. — Emergency responders were called to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of East Highway 44 and East Saint Patrick Street around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
According to preliminary information, both vehicles involved were white Chevrolet Equinox SUVs. Investigators say one vehicle was traveling eastbound on Highway 44 and entered the intersection on a green light when a westbound vehicle attempted to turn onto East Saint Patrick Street and failed to yield the right-of-way.
The turning vehicle struck the eastbound SUV, causing the crash.
No serious injuries were reported. The driver of the turning vehicle was cited for failure to yield.
Officials noted the information is preliminary and that a complete police report has not yet been finalized as the investigation continues.
